Welcome To Chance Ridge Located in Eastern Nebraska, Chance Ridge was founded in 1984. We are 3 miles South of Elkhorn, Nebraska. The town of Elkhorn is located in Western Douglas County, just a few miles west of the metropolitan Omaha area. Our original building consisted of an Equine and Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital, dog and cat boarding and grooming facilities, an 80' X 200' indoor arena and 25 12' x 12' horse stalls. A large outdoor arena was also included in the original construction stage along with 5 outside round pens. As our horse breeding business grew we expanded again with the construction of a mare motel consisting of an open air building with 44 more stalls. Two more barns were added in 2000. In 2004 we opened our Event Center. We are currently undergoing more construction as we continue to expand our facilities.
Deb Wagner has been with Chance Ridge for several years now. She started as a Vet Tech/Groomer but we soon realized her value as our bookkeeper and receptionist. She schedules appointments, greets clients and trains new employees along with some bookkeeping. If Deb can't answer your questions she will know where to direct your calls as she also has the ability to keep track of everyone. Along with her husband Derek and daughter, Hannah, Deb has been managing our kitchen at Chance Ridge Event Center. During her spare time, she and her family do crafting and attend many craft shows as exhibitors. Without reservation Deb is one of our most valued and knowledgeable employees. Although we have an abundance of good weather in Nebraska, like every other part of the country, we have our extremes.
In 2004 we opened our new event center which enables us to host a variety of activities during inclement weather and throughout the winter months. Please check out our Event Center page to see what we offer and how we can help host your activities. Chance Ridge Event Center
As we expand our facilities and our web we hope you will check back often. Our intention is to showcase our valuable staff as well as the events we are hosting. Be sure to check our Calendar to view currently scheduled events. We welcome your comments, suggestions and inquiries.
